Introduction and classification of window film

With the continuous development of decoration technology, there are more and more types of film products. One of them is called glass window film, which is welcomed by consumers because of its excellent properties and good quality. So, what is glass window filmNext, let me take the majority of consumers and friends to have a good understanding of this glass window film.

Introduction and classification of glass window film

Glass windows film (glass windowsfilm) is a multi-layer functionalized polyester composite film material, attached to the surface of architectural glass can improve the performance and strength of glass, with the function of improving the flexural strength of glass, improving the impact strength of glass, avoiding personal injury accidents caused by glass chipping and falling off, protection, anti-theft, etc.

In recent years, glass window film has developed rapidly in China's automobile and construction industry, especially small cars, 90% of car owners will choose film.

Classification of glass window film:

According to the different application fields, the current glass window film is roughly divided into three categories: architectural glass window film, automotive glass window film, safety glass window film.

Architectural glass window film: with energy-saving and thermal insulation as the main purpose, with ultraviolet protection and safety functions. The membrane can also be divided into heat reflective film and low radiation film. Heat-reflective film, which is attached to the glass surface so that visible and near-infrared light can be transmitted in the room, but not far-infrared light. Therefore, there is enough light to enter the room, and most of the solar heat is reflected back, and the indoor temperature will not rise too much in the hot summer, thereby reducing the indoor air conditioning load and saving air conditioning costs and energy saving. Low-radiation film, which can penetrate a certain amount of short-wave solar radiation energy, so that solar radiant heat enters the room and is absorbed by indoor objects; At the same time, it can retain more than 90% of the long-wave infrared reflection of indoor object radiation in the room. Low-emissivity films make full use of sunlight radiation and long-wave radiation energy from indoor objects. Therefore, it can be used in cold areas and heating buildings to play a thermal insulation and energy-saving effect.

Automotive glass window film: attached to the inner surface of automobile glass, with energy-saving heat insulation, ultraviolet insulation, security and theft prevention. At the same time, the visible light transmittance and visible light reflectivity requirements of the window film are also very high, especially the front windshield film, according to the provisions of the "Motor Vehicle Operation Safety Technical Conditions", "the visible light transmittance of the front windshield is not allowed to be less than 70%, and all window glass is not allowed to post mirror reflective shading film". Because it is used on the windshield of automobiles, the visible light transmittance after the film must be greater than 70% to meet the requirements of the national standard GB7258-2004.

Safety glass window film: there is a layer of adhesive with strong adhesion between the film and the glass, the film itself has good tear resistance, penetration resistance, even if broken, even if the glass is broken, it can maintain the original overall state, and prevent the secondary injury to the human body caused by the glass breakage splash caused by accidents. Its main function is safety explosion-proof, generally used in banks and other financial institutions, jewelry store windows, museums, hotel halls and other important places or exhibition halls. This film also has a certain heat insulation, ultraviolet insulation ability, and high transparency.

In terms of production process, glass window film can be divided into three categories: dyeing film, primary color film, vacuum coating. The dyeing film can be divided into ordinary film, surface dyeing film, and interlayer dyeing film; Vacuum coating can be divided into vacuum evaporation coating and magnetron sputtering coating; According to the different materials plated, it can be divided into metal film and ceramic film.

Ordinary film: commonly known as tea paper, is made of dye mixed in glue coated on polyethylene substrate, is the oldest production method, due to no heat insulation, no ultraviolet radiation and a short shelf life, now rarely used.

Surface dyeing film: is to apply the dye on the surface of the PET substrate, feel very soft, lack sufficient toughness and explosion-proof, not resistant to ultraviolet radiation, easy to fade, short shelf life.

Interlayer dyeing film: is to apply the dye between two layers of PET substrate, feel very soft, has a certain resistance to ultraviolet aging, due to the low cost of this type of dyeing film is still on the market.

Characteristics of dyeing film: low visible light reflectivity, lack of good heat control properties, easy fading (usually purple), and easy to blister after long-term use.

Primary color film: refers to glass window film without organic dyes added. So far, optical grade PET film has only gray and colorless polyester film, and other color PET films must be dyed to achieve. The primary color film is characterized by a good hand feel, not easy to fade, and a long shelf life.

Vacuum evaporation coating: By applying a thermal evaporation (for pure metals with low melting temperature) process, the film can be coated with a variety of metals, alloys or oxide coatings. The vacuum evaporation process is usually coated with pure aluminum, and can be made into films with different visible light transmittance and reflectivity, so that the film has the best sunlight control performance.

Vacuum sputtering coating: usually in a large vacuum chamber, very low pressure inert gas environment and under the action of electric energy, various metals or metal synthetic targets are impacted by charged ions, made into multiple layers of dense metal film with low reflection and high heat insulation, orderly and uniformly coated on the surface of polyester film, and composite process to make a variety of unique stable colors, high levels of transmittance selectivity, to ensure that the product has sufficient toughness, explosion-proof, heat insulation, UV resistance 99%, long shelf life.

Ceramic film: glass window film containing SiO2, TiO2 and other ultra-thin ceramic coatings, which does not contain a metal layer and does not interfere with the GPS satellite navigation system, radio communication and mobile phone acceptance in the car at all; At the same time, it does not oxidize and fade, which is easier to maintain than metal film and durable. It has low reflectivity and moderate light transmission. Vigu's amber ceramic film, 3M Crystal Automotive Heat Insulation Film, Johnson & Johnson's basalt series automotive film all belong to this type of product.
